Get Living London
A new bandstand forms part of a public realm improvement proposal seeking to animate a wide boulevard that formed part of the Athlete’s Village during London 2012.
The bandstand structure is envisaged as a supporting structure to community led activities and events, as well as acting as a readily identifiable landmark along Celebration Way.
The scheme received planning consent in the summer of 2019. The landscape architect is Studio Huw, and structural engineering is by Furness Partnership.
